The Role

We’re looking for a Founding Software Engineer who will build the full-stack engineering platform that underpins every VectorOne deployment. You will be relentless about performance, security, and reliability. You won't blindly pull in dependencies—you will keep the supply chain lean and build your own solutions for shallow problems.

You will define the balance between leveraging AI coding tools and maintaining sustainable engineering practices. You will design and implement our design systems, code generation engines, and the CI/CD pipelines that power our entire stack.

You will argue for frameworks and technologies that give us a lasting competitive advantage, not whatever happens to be popular. You will obsess over your work and make it the best of your career to date.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and implement our core application technologies with a focus on the business outcome they enable.
• Build a full-stack application platform using a backend for front-end architecture. No micro-services! You already know why.
• Collaborate with the CTO and SMEs to translate messy ideas into clear features and elegant systems.
• Define the standards of excellence in application development at VectorOne, including a shift left, static code analysis, security, observability,  and monitoring.
• Optimize for the problems we have, not the problems we might have one day. Document the trade-offs we are making for outcomes over abstractions. Know how you will change them later. Never give an inch when prioritizing outcomes over engineering.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years in software engineering with at least one year of experience as a senior software engineer.
• A strong background in Palantir Foundry is a huge plus.
• Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers while staying hands-on.
• Zero to one builder comfortable setting patterns and processes.
• Comfortable using a Founder mindset to shape strategy in ambiguous environments while driving execution.
