Role Overview

The Director of IT will lead IT governance, security, and compliance for Ashla and its subsidiaries (VectorOne, Blackwell, Marrow), while directly managing internal systems and vendor relationships for the Ashla parent company. The role balances direct responsibility for Ashla’s systems with oversight and standards-setting across the broader ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Ashla Internal IT (Direct Ownership): Manage and secure all IT systems, networks, and user environments.. Oversee IT vendor selection, contracting, and performance management. Ensure seamless operations for investment reporting, communications, and core family office functions.
• Governance: Define enterprise-wide IT standards, frameworks, and policies. Align subsidiaries with Ashla’s security and compliance requirements while respecting their operational autonomy.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement robust security controls to protect Ashla’s internal data and systems. Oversee compliance across subsidiaries with regulatory and data protection requirements. Coordinate incident response readiness at both Ashla and subsidiary levels. Stand up and facilitate Ashla and subsidiaries SOC 2 readiness and certification efforts, including defining scope, establishing required controls, managing external auditors, and ensuring ongoing control effectiveness across all relevant systems and vendors.
• Collaboration & Oversight: Act as an advisor and accountability partner for subsidiary IT leaders. Facilitate knowledge-sharing, best practices, and consistency across entities. Maintain Ashla’s reputation as a secure, compliant, and resilient parent company.
• Device Management: Oversee setup and procurement of all software and hardware for all Ashla employees.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in leadership, governance, or compliance roles.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with recognized cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and their practical application.
• Demonstrated success managing IT vendors, contracts, and budgets to achieve cost-effective and secure outcomes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with senior leadership and subsidiary teams.
• Track record of delivering secure, resilient IT environments that support organizational strategy and growth.
