About Us

VectorOne was founded by a serial entrepreneur who successfully built a half-billion-dollar financial services firm from scratch. As a result, VectorOne has massive insight into the Office of the CFO and has already secured VC funding for the next several years. With this runway, VectorOne will hire fanatical, fantastic humans with great minds who, together, will reshape what it means to do business in the world of autonomous finance and accounting. VectorOne’s CTO will be an essential part of the Executive Leadership Team. The CTO will support the mission by shaping the technology stack and the team from the ground up. They will also help the business meet its revenue targets by building technology platforms and products that drive revenue up and to the right.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on CTO who can set technical vision across multiple products, manage engineers and designers, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and build. You’ll be the bridge between high-level strategy and in-the-trenches execution, shaping both the culture and the systems that power VectorOne’s ventures.

What You’ll Do

• Own the technical roadmap and architecture across products.
• Lead and mentor engineers while coding and shipping alongside them.
• Build scalable platforms and infrastructure that accelerate the delivery of the product roadmap and guarantee quality outcomes across the organization.
• Make critical build vs. buy decisions and guide long-term technology strategy.
• Work closely with founders, product leads, and SMEs to move fast toward product-market fit.
• Be an integral part of the executive leadership team.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to the Board of Directors and other non-technical stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of software engineering experience at all levels of the stack. 
• Ability to define, monitor, and improve engineering excellence across the Technology Organization. 
• Master of system architecture and design, engineered platforms for at least one central cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), and understand AI at the foundation layer.
• Be a hands-on builder who writes and ships code daily.
• Have strong opinions about platform engineering teams, product team structure, and engineering tracks and skills development.
• Strong background in Math and Computer Science, Master's or PhD preferred.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, eventing, event sourcing, and eventual consistency.
• Mastery of monolith, distributed monolith, back-end for front-end, and microservice architectures. You know when and how to use these to achieve an outcome the business actually cares about. You never optimize for problems the business doesn’t have.
• Entrepreneurial, scrappy, thrives in ambiguity.
• A strong background in Palantir Foundry is a huge plus.
