The Role
We’re looking for an Applied AI Engineer who will contribute to building a new kind of rules engine that applies automated reasoning for explainable AI in high-trust environments. In your first year, you will work alongside senior AI engineers to create core system components at a pace others might call impossible.
You will get hands-on with model training, evaluation, and distillation, supporting the development of production AI systems. You will help turn ideas into working code, and you’ll gain experience with the foundational technologies beneath common abstraction libraries. You will help build novel solutions from the foundation layer.
The roadmap will shift as we push the boundaries of what’s possible, but the problems we’re working on are important and valuable. If you’re hungry to learn and want to grow by building in an environment where explainability and trust matter as much as speed, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Build our new rules engine that applies automated reasoning for explainable AI systems.
- Train, evaluate, and distill models, and deploy them into production pipelines.
- Turn research ideas and prototypes into code that actually runs in production.
- Work directly with engineers and domain experts to wire AI into real products.
- Test new frameworks and methods, keeping what works and discarding what doesn’t.
What We’re Looking For
- 1-3+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or applied ML.
- Solid Python skills and familiarity with modern ML/AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, or similar).
- Interest in agentic AI systems and eagerness to work with cutting-edge frameworks like MPC servers.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure and data tools (bonus: Palantir, Spark, Kafka, dbt, or Snowflake).
- Curious, scrappy problem solver who enjoys working in fast-paced, cross-functional, collaborative environments.
